Weedo 910 TUG is a combined tug/workboat specially developed to serve in the petroleum business offshore. The craft is specially built for the purpose of towing oil booms.
The craft is a purpose built boat that can be combined as a rescue and workboat. It is designed and tested for towing offshore oil booms, and it is built in accordance with SOLAS 83 international rules with some exceptions.
It is built to give maximum saftey and comfort for the crew, and is fitted with two steering positions; one in the wheelhouse and one at the deck aft.
The craft is fitted with one inboard diesel engine and variable or controllable pitch propeller. The towing point is well ahead of the propeller. The craft has a bollard pull of 2,000 to 3,100 kgs depending on engine configuration.
Hull made of GRP/sandwich. The hull is partly filled with expanded polyurethane foam. Superstructure made of GRP/sandwich. The fender is made of rubber.Lifting arrangement is made of high quality steel, fitted with approved off-load release hook.
