Weedo 17 Solas is especially designed to meet the requirements of chapter 11, regulation 47 in 1983 amendments to Solas. The boat is suitable for use on all commercial ships; fishing vessels, supply vessels, standby vessels and oilrigs. Weedo 17 Solas is manufactured in FRP and built in accordance with the Solas 83 amendments. The craft is fitted with a heavy-duty foam fender system that is enhancing the usefulness of a mob-boat this size. The craft is fitted with one outboard petrol engine and hydraulic steering system. The cockpit in the centre of the boat has seating for a crew of two. The hull is filled with a closed cell foam that makes the craft unsinkable. The craft is is type approved up to 6 persons, with a CE certificate acc. to Solas 83, nominated body: DNV, in addition it has a type approval from NMD. The Weedo 17 is available with a number of engine combinations: single installations up to 90 HP and double installation up to 2 x 60 HP.. Hull made of fireretardant polyester (FRP).It is filled with expanded polyurethane foam.The fender is made of special foam, and protected with tailor-made PVC cover. Fixed foam capsize or inflatable reversal equipment.
