MARITRONIX SCOUT is a camera-based computer vision system designed to provide comprehensive situational awareness at sea. With the capability to optically detect targets, SCOUT offers mariners an innovative solution for visualizing and tracking their surroundings.
The system operates with a single camera that processes video streams in real-time using embedded Maritronix software. Targets below the horizon are illuminated and classified through a powerful AI/ML model, built on a continually updated database of imagery. Users can customize guard zone preferences for warnings and alerts. Additionally, the system performs effectively at night and in low-light conditions.
SCOUT issues warnings when obstacles or other vessels are detected ahead of the boat. The video can be displayed on a compatible screen¹ or marine chart plotter². The system is controlled via keyboard, mouse, or touchscreen display. Furthermore, the processing module includes a built-in WiFi module, enabling connectivity with mobile devices³ for video viewing and system control. This feature provides a live video feed on mobile devices, ensuring real-time situational awareness even without direct visual contact with the horizon.
We rely on time-tested components and emphasize simplicity to ensure long-term, maintenance-free operation. The system incorporates digital stabilization, achieving an optimal balance between video quality and durability. By avoiding moving parts in the camera module, we eliminate the typical wear and tear associated with gimbal stabilization systems.
