The ECOSAFE booms are conventionally inflatable oil containment booms with easily replaceable internal buoyancy chambers. The cylindrical floats with short, independent buoyancy chambers give the boom excellent floatability and particularly good wave following properties. Should the boom suffer damage, it is easy to replace the affected buoyancy chamber on site. ECOSAFE booms are designed to be easy to deploy and give reliable operation with low personnel requirements. The proven design, low inflation pressure and high buoyancy to weight ratio make these booms an effective tool for oil containment, even in adverse weather conditions. The booms are designed to remain in the water for long periods of time. ECOSAFE booms are made from high frequency welded heavy PU/PVC blended fabric, being resistant to oil, salt, and UV light. ECOSAFE booms are designed to provide increased visibility in the dark. The booms are bright yellow and have pockets for flashing, high-intensity LED marker lights every 25 metres in addition to generously sized welded-on reflectors on the floats every 5 metres. ECOSAFE booms are also available in an extra heavy-duty version with double fabric thickness in the floats, being stronger than most booms made of rubber, Hypalon or neoprene
