HYDRAULIC REELS FOR HANDLING OIL BOOMS The ECOREEL series consists of a wide range of hydraulically driven reels that make boom operations quick and easy with focus on safety. There are standard models of any size and for every application. Common to all models are their safe and simple variable speed operation and compact design. Safety of operation is maximised due to a distributor valve which controls direction of rotation, rotational speed (adjustable between 0 and 12 rpm) and the hydraulic braking system. The ECOREEL is also available with a rotating base making boom recovery easy. By hydraulically swinging the reel from side to side, the boom is distributed effectively on the drum. Only the best brands of hydraulic components are used, guaranteeing that the boom reels deliver in the most demanding of situations. The structure is corrosion protected with high-quality marine grade coating, in accordance with the NORSOK standard used by the offshore industry in the North Sea, providing increased product durability and minimum maintenance in marine environments.
