Kaplan propeller is designed especially for trawlers, pushers, and all ships in which a nozzle is located to give a greater thrust than an «open water» propeller. This type of propellers increases from 25 to 35% thrust on trawlers. The nozzles can be made of steel or epoxy depends of the hull type and following certifications: Veritas, Germanischer Lloyds, DNV, ABS ...
