Many of these have been sold to the commercial large charter yacht market, where the combination of performance and finish gives operators the confidence to take their wealthy, demanding guests to their chosen dive or fishing sites safe in the knowledge that the vessel will be safe, comfortable, reliable and live-up to the expectations of the guests. This 9m aluminium vessel was built as one of four tenders to the Spanish-built 74m research vessel “R/V Pegaso”, specifically supporting operations of their submarine and SCUBA dive excursions. With twin Yanmar 315HP marine diesel engines and Mercruiser Bravo 2 stern legs, the vessel has a maximum speed of 36 knots. Based on McMullen & Wing’s proven deep vee hull form, with inflatable D-tube perimeter fender, the vessel was highly customised in close collaboration with the client.
