Powered by a hydraulic or electric motor, the pot hauler is an efficient and light machine to pull fishing pots and traps for octopus, crab, lobster, and prawn. Fishing line is gripped round the sheave which is driven by the motor. The line is pulled from the sea round a swiveled pulley block. The line is discharged from the sheave by hand pulling round a plastic pulley. Arm which hold the pulley block can be stowed in special housing for space saving when not in use. Mounted easily inside a Scotty Downrigger mount or inside a vertical 40mm pipe.
