Description

Seaward, built in Finland from 1987 to 1988, has a long history. The 216-metre-long cruise ship was originally constructed at the STX shipyard, now MEYER TURKU, under Yard Number 1294. It was commissioned by Kloster Cruises. Seaward was acquired by Norwegian Cruise Line and rechristened “Norwegian Sea” in 1997. The vessel was then purchased by Star Cruises in 2005, and the Finnish-built cruise ship has since been known as “SuperStar Libra”. SuperStar Libra was extensively modernised and renovated in 2013, but cruising operations came to an end in 2018. After serving the cruise industry for 30 years, the former luxury liner is now docked in Wismar, where it acts as a hotel ship.
