Scandia and Nordia are a pair of sister ships that the Finnish shipyard, now MEYER TURKU, delivered to OY Siljavarustamo AB in 1961 and 1962.
One year after Scandia had become the first car ferry to be built in Finland, its sister ship Nordia was put into service. Just like Scandia, it also started operating between the Finnish city of Turku, Mariehamn on the Åland Islands and Norrtälje in Sweden. It was then sold to Venezuelan and Greek shipping companies. In 1988, Nordia was scrapped in Greece after a fire.
