Disney Fantasy is the second cruise ship constructed by MEYER WERFT for the American shipping company Disney Cruise Line.
Both Disney cruise ships from Papenburg are specially designed for families and evoke memories of 1930s passenger ships with their black hull, white superstructure, twin red funnels and yellow lifeboats. The classic Mickey Mouse colours are even reflected in the ship’s design. The ship’s interior features a combination of Art Deco design and features from the wonderful world of Walt Disney. The interior cabins are fitted with virtual portholes that broadcast the view of the outside – interrupted by occasional visits from various Disney characters. Another highlight on board the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy is the AquaDuck, a 233-metre-long white-water slide on the 12th deck. This is the world’s longest cruise ship slide that extends over four decks.
MEYER WERFT had already completed and delivered its sister ship, the Disney Dream, to the Disney Cruise Line in December 2010.
