The first steel plate for Celebrity Reflection was welded in spring 2011, and we delivered the ship to Celebrity Cruises in October 2012. It’s part of the Solstice Class that was constructed between 2008 and 2012. Celebrity Reflection is somewhat longer and wider than the other ships in the series – Celebrity Silhouette, Celebrity Eclipse, Celebrity Equinox and Celebrity Solstice.
Celebrity Reflection is 319 metres long, 37 metres wide and has 1,523 passenger cabins. The large and elegant cruise ship features lots of angular surfaces, impressive glass façades and a steeply sloping stern. The superstructure is fitted with smaller funnels than normal and the balconies are slightly offset inwards. The propulsion machinery is built around two diesel engines and an innovative, fuel-efficient drive system.
Guests can enjoy a round of bowls and a picnic on the Lawn Club that extends for over 1,000 square metres. Further highlights on board Celebrity Reflection include various spas and a large number of outside cabins – over 90% of passengers can enjoy a view of the sea and coast. One suite even features the first ever shower to hang nonchalantly above the sea. The fully glazed structure protrudes out the side of the ship, offering spectacular views in all directions.
