Ambassador was one of two almost structurally identical ships built in Papenburg for Coordinated Caribbean Transport (CCT). MEYER WERFT delivered the ro-ro ferry to the shipping company in 1980. From 1997, the ferry sailed under the flag of both the Marshall Islands (Micronesia) and Cyprus. In 2010, the ship formerly known as “Ambassador” was sold to an Indian company and scrapped on the beach of Alang. It was called “Crowley Ambassador” at the time.
