MD9901 Dual Function Plus Smoke & Heat Detector MD9901 is an automatic addressable multi-criteria detector ables to set off the alarm in case of smoke or high temperature presence. It can be used as combined (smoke and heat alarm), only heat or only smoke mode. It transmits to the central unit, by a custom protocol, the values of the smoke quantity and the temperature. Self diagnostic function generates fault condition in case of sensor failure or degradation. The detector can be supplied with different baseplates according to the installation requirements. The detector address is programmed by the central unit or by software tools. Three different classes of temperature are available: Class A1: Alarm Thresold 54°C – 65°C Class B: Alarm Thresold 69°C – 85°C Class C: Alarm Thresold 84°C – 100°C The température alarm is generated by a thermistor with a very low time constant which allows for a very fast answer on ambient air température variations. Its position below the optical chamber and at the center of the detector offers a uniform détection over 360 degrees. The thermistor is protected against shocks through a dedicated cover fixed on the detector frame. The measured signal is handled by a conditioning circuit and sent to the sensor microprocessor which generates the alarm if the value is above a predefined threshold. Another dedicated sensor provides a voltage analog signal proportional to measured température, signal which is sent to the microprocessor for its processing.
