It has a surface area of 28.3in2 / 183cm2 and provides just enough raked back angle to prevent snags on flotsam and jetsam, including reeds and seaweed. It is an essential upgrade to your SUP for touring and day trips on varied waterways. Stand-up paddle boards travel at relatively slow speeds and require a fin capable of providing lateral resistance to keep the board travelling in a straight line, offer a smooth turning circle, and resist the tail moving side to side during the paddling phase. This Silver Tip 7” carbon touring SUP fin is designed for maximum lateral stability and minimal drag over flat or choppy water. It is ideal for paddleboards of 12’ and under for best compatibility. This 7" SUP touring fin ensures the highest quality finish, strength, rigidity and minimal featherlight weight due to the resin transfer moulded (RTM) fabrication process. This is a liquid moulding process which uses liquid epoxy resin injection under pressure directly into the carbon fibre within a closed mould cavity. This ensures the epoxy is fully wetted into the carbon fibre and that there is no excess to ensure a super strong and lightweight end product.
