Introducing The DAZCAT 1295 Sports Bridge Deck Cruising Catamaran.
At 42.5 feet (12.79m) in length and a length to waterline beam ratio of 13-1 but still weighing-in at under 5 tones, the new boat has really been optimised for performance racing and cruising.
The D1295 offers stylish speed and comfort. It also has a performance rating similar to its sisters to create close racing.
As standard the boat features a 17m carbon mast with main sail area of 65msq and a self-tacking jib with an area of 35msq.
Internally the boat is the typical Dazcat layout and uses the same deck and coach roof design. The 1295 hull has a slightly raised freeboard, a flatter rocker line aft and sharper sections forward than previous smaller models. The engines have been moved under the raised galley sole to centralise the engine weight, increasing both performance and comfort of ride. The increase in freeboard means there is full 1.95m headroom in the forward heads and showers, and increased wet deck clearance to 750cm.
