FREE-FLOATING, MODULAR OIL RECOVERY SKIMMER SYSTEM OLEOPHILIC BRUSH, DISC or DRUM RECOVERY BANK x3 New Naval’s ScorSkim 90 is an oleophilic, free-floating oil recovery skimmer designed for oil recovery operations in varying environments and scenarios, including offshore conditions, with the capability to recover light to heavy oils. The 3 bank modular system can be quickly changed from brush, disc or drum recovery banks depending on the viscosity of the target oil and utilizes an integrated, onboard pump. Proven oleophilic technology allows the system to achieve recovery rates of up to 98%, <2% water content. The system is designed to be used offshore able to handle swells and rough seas by utilizing a stable core, the skimmer is also effective in operations from inland environments to nearshore applications.
