New Naval’s Seaguardian Twin 12 Dynamic Recovery Vessel is unique and innovative fast response and recovery, dynamic, Catamaran hulled vessel designed to immediately mobilize to any incident that might pose a threat to the marine environment. Her unique design allows handling and operation with minimum crew requirements. The significant advantages compared to the conventional oil spill response vessels are summarized below: • Seagurdian Twin 12 is equipped with a built-in retractable oleophilic belt skimmer which allows oil recovery operations to commence almost immediately upon arrival on the spill site. • High speeds up to 18 knots, thus minimizing initial response time. • The vessel also carries an on-board, lobe type, transfer pump, ideal for any transfer operation. • Able to accommodate oil containment booms, dispersant spraying systems and deployment or recovery of equipment by utilizing the on-board crane The vessel is built for oil spill response operations (U/J configurations) and can be used for dispersant application operations.
