Inox Test is a tool designed to recognize and identify the most common stainless steel alloys. It can be fitted within the back of ones hand, the liquids used for the analyses do not strain nor damage the product, and the result is given in just 10/15 seconds. Inox Test allows to identify the stainless steel alloys, through an electrochemical test and some quick and easy tests: Magnetic Test: to identify the AISI 400 series stainless steel; Test to determine the presence of manganese and to distinguish an AISI 200 series stainless steel from an AISI 300 series stainless steel; Test to determine the presence of molybdenum and to distinguish an AISI 300 series stainless steel from an AISI 316 series stainless steel.
