Oma Baatbyggeri AS and Norled AS, have signed a contract for the delivery of an aluminum catamaran. The vessel will be delivered in the first quarter of 2022 as the yard’s build number 547.
The boat type is a specially designed work boat with a hybrid propulsion system that will ensure a reduced environmental footprint. The vessel, which will be equipped with a four-engine propulsion system with an exhaust purification system that satisfies the highest emission requirements, can also run on battery or a combination of diesel and electric operation.
The vessel will be used for control of fishing, clearing of lost fishing gear and collection of coastal data. The vessel is delivered with a large cargo deck with lifting cranes and will also have a laboratory on board. The length of the vessel is 39.75 meters and top speed is approx. 33 knots. The vessel will be owned and operated by Norled. It will be operational all year round. Delivery date will be first quarter 2022.
