The Optimist has come a long way since its development; to the strict one-design racing boat it is to the current day. For children up to 15, the international optimist provides the perfect starter boat for beginners to competitive racers.A huge amount of time and resources have gone into developing and fine tuning our optimist. With over 30 years’ experience building the highest quality racing and Olympic class boats, we have been able to use this to craft some of the highest quality and fastest optimists out there.One of the key aspects to a good/fast optimist is its weight distribution. We’ve put a great deal of effort into having ours extensively swing tested, confirming that our optimist has unrivalled weight distribution. On top of this, our optimised N1 foils and fit-out have all been tried and tested to our high standards, assuring all our products have second to none quality.
