After having claimed the PWA 2019 PWA Windfoil World Title, Phantom foils are crowned Formula Foil 2020 World Champion. Our foils are designed by Alex Udin and Gonzalo Redondo, supervised by Ellis Engineered, and tested by Alexandre Cousin, Thomas Goyard and Nicolas Goyard. We are proud to introduce 2 brand new foils, called “X” and “Z”. All our foils are made of carbon pre preg providing the best laminate quality with a perfect reproducibility. The IRIS foil range is all about compatibility. You can upgrade any part at any time to match your progression and your program. The IRIS “R” is the PWA 2019 World Champion and Formula Foil 2020 World Champion, it is also the fastest foil on the market with a top speed of 37,75kts 2 sec and 33,54kts on one nautical mile.. It is our ultra performance weapon to be ahead of the pack ! A no compromise foiI featuring the unique M40J high modulus carbon prepreg mast and wings to guarantee outstanding stiffness and control. • The IRIS “X” is a high performance foil based on the same design as the R with a with a 5cm shorter mast made of M40J high modulus carbon prepreg mast and T700 carbon prepreg wings. The X will become a terrific racing and freerace weapon. • The IRIS “Z” is our free ride model with T700 carbon pre preg lay up to access & improve the flights without any fear. Phantom Windsurfing Founder Alex Udin started making sails at the age of 16. With a passion for sailing and windsurfing, he started working in R&D lofts in Maui back in 2001 and founded his sailmaking company in 2003, designing high performance sails for famous boatyards and professional sailors like Franck Cammas and François Gabart.
