The highly-compact swivel for foresail furling systems with torsionally rigid forestays are distinguished by their extremely low weight. For workloads of 12 tons or more, we make the swivels out of titanium. The smooth-running bearings ensure that the swivels can turn with minimal lag, meaning that the stay is protected from strong torsional stresses.
Features
TTSx/EYE
By using different top connections, Reckmann swivels are simply aligned to different requirements on board. The eye connection shows the simplest variants: there is the option of having an offset eye for lashing or with a straight hole for connecting a toggle.
TTSx/B
There are several names for this connection: loop, bone, basket, monkey ears and many other definitions can be used to describe the simple connection of the halyard using the endless loop. The practical solution of securing the connection with velcro allows it to be opened swiftly at the same time.
TTSx/2:1
2:1 series swivels are provided with an easy-to-remove sheave to connect them to halyards beneath. The smooth-running sheaves turn with very little friction, even when bearing heavy loads.
Sail Head Attachment
On request, you can order all top swivel models with a connection option for the sail. These swivels then bear the extension “L” in the article description.
