Cable Lay Vessel was built by Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. for Norwegian offshore fleet Owner.
Realization of this contract is very important not only for Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. but for the shipbuilding sector in Poland as well. It is the most technologically advanced vessel whenever built by polish shipyard.
This vessel is completely constructed in Gdańsk – starting from workshop documentation through the construction of the hull with innovative shape to the outfitting with the modest navigation systems including DP 2, state-of the-art diesel electric propulsion and cable laying system.
The vessel is designed for installation, repair and maintenance of medium and high voltage submarine cable systems within the offshore renewable energy and offshore oil and gas markets. The vessel at overall length of 95.3 meters with cable payload of 4 250 tons is served by sixty – man crew. Most of them are engaged in handling operations of laying and connecting cables. The vessel meets the highest standards of environmental protection and safety of navigation “CLEAN DESIGN” and flys under the most reputable Norwegian flag.
