Description

The RFD Means of Rescue Device is a rectangular inflatable buoyant platform that is designed to rescue survivors from the water or another vessel. This MOR Device is not classed as a liferaft; it is a water-borne device that provides an ad hoc means of rescue in an emergency. The RFD MOR is designed and installed in accordance with the regulations specified in MSC/Circ. 810, paragraph 2.4.2 by the International Maritime Organization's Marine Safety Committee.
