The Rhino 600 EHD – Extra Heavy Duty – is replacing the Rhino 590 EHD Mk2.
The Rhino 600 EHD is designed for offshore bow‐catcher structures. The workboat has a customised forepeak structure for engaging in offshore bow-catcher boat landings. For operational safety, the forepeak bow-catcher is designed as a separate unit that is welded to the basic hull. In extreme environmental conditions, where severe impact loading may cause damage to the bow-catcher, this will be superficial and will not compromise the integrity of the hull itself.
The craft can be loaded into a standard 6 meter container, and can be fitted with either single or twin outboard motors.
Craft can be supplied bare, to receive a tiller operated motor, or fitted with a console and skippers seat arrangement. An inboard diesel motor can be fitted if required, but our longer versions are recommended for these applications.
Standard features include bench seating with up-stand gunnels, fuel tank storage under a cross seat, polypropylene side grab lines, mooring cleats, additional pad-eyes for deck lashing and mooring, and scupper flaps for the self-draining deck.
The forepeak is fitted with lockers, bow step and removable stainless steel handrails port and starboard. Besides the forepeak the EHD has a full-length 30 mm thick impact/rubbing strake on the side-sponsons, as well as forward 3 tonne proof loaded mooring/surging bollards.
