As a further innovation, Rondal has taken its established sliding hatch concept and re-invented it as a total flush unit, totally aligned with the deck profile. The entire hatch cover first drops, then slides smoothly and silently out of sight to reveal completely clear access. This type of hatch offers the ideal solution for access to the sail locker on the foredeck of a sailing yacht; or to create a clean deck on a motor yacht by concealing the steps to a lower deck. Principal features: Aluminium, carbon fibre or hybrid aluminium/carbon construction. Manual operation or electric operation with spindle drive. Inflatable seal in combination with a mechanical seal ensures water-tightness according to classification. With or without camber. Perspex, toughened glass or teak insert into cover.
