Precision performance
The SCP allows the propeller blades to be adjusted in pitch for manoeuvring and to adapt to changing operating conditions. The propellers are designed according to the customer’s individual requirements using state-of-the-art calculation methods such as software-based flow simulation (CFD). These ensure that the SCP meets the specific requirements of the customer. The operator thus benefits from a high degree of efficiency with lower fuel and operating costs.
SCHOTTEL has enhanced its CP propeller design with its newest generation of controllable pitch propeller hubs. The improved hub shape considerably reduces the risk of cavitation, which may otherwise occur due to the high loads in applications with higher speeds.
