These jets are suited to 350 Chevs, small block Fords and similar mid-sized engine packages. The 8.25 inch two stage is ideally suited to engines that have moderate mid-range torque and horsepower characteristics, from approx 270 to 400 horsepower. This jet is based on our world champion 8.25 sprint jet and gives exceptional performance. As an upgrade for older boats It has been used as an upgrade option for older boats, to improve performance, handling and fuel efficiency. We are finding this jet is a good option for a retrofit to replace an old 3 stage. Sometimes the cost of reconditioning and upgrading a 3 stage with new impellers and trim system is not much less than fitting a new jet. A new 825 not only adds considerable all round performance gains, it lifts a boat’s resale value considerably.
