NMG & NMD Model Series Novec 1230 NMG/NMD Cylinder Head Manual Activation Only SEA-FIRE NovecTM 1230 NMD & NMG Fire Suppression Systems are designed to protect enclosed compartments. Systems are manually actuated by pull cable. Upon discharge, the extinguishing agent (NovecTM 1230) floods the compartment with an electrically non conductive, noncorrosive vapor that stops the combustion process by physical means. NovecTM 1230 removes heat energy from the fire to the extent that the combustion reaction cannot sustain itself. SEA-FIRE NovecTM 1230 NMD & NMG extinguishing systems are designed to induce minimum atmospheric concentration of 5.85% within the protected compartment. SEA-FIRE NMD & NMG series extinguishers are equipped with a factory installed pressure switch which is intended for cylinder pressure supervision and may also be used to control other electrical functions (engine shutdown, air exchange equipment, etc.).
