The AURORA-3C personal submarine is a compact private submersible in size and light in weight, that holds 1 pilot and 2 passengers, and is a 1 Atmosphere, ABS or DNV-GL Classed, vessel with a depth rating of up to 470m (1542ft). The configuration of this private submersible provides the occupants an exceptional view, unobstructed by top hatches and side pontoons and offers the largest spacious cabin space compared to any other private submarine in its low weight category. The personal submarine is horizontal when underwater but is tail up when docked to a yacht at surface and provides this private submersible a secure walking deck for safe boarding of passengers. The Aurora-3C personal submarine field of view is greatly enhanced by moving the access hatch away from the top of the window into a separate compartment behind the main cabin. The personal submarine unique ability to tilt at surface provides an extremely stable platform for boarding from a yacht and does not require obtrusive forward pontoons that severely restrict peripheral viewing. A specifically designed aft section on the private submersible provides an ideal docking configuration that can be firmly secured to a yacht, as opposed to some awkward geometry.
