MINI-CON
SEACON has developed a complete range of dry-mate fiber optic products built to withstand a variety of environmental conditions, including hydrostatic pressure, thermal and explosive shock and vibration. As well as developing fiber optics for specific customer requirements, SEACON has added fiber optic capabilities to existing electrical connector designs including the MINI-CON range. Pressure rated up to 20,000 psi, these connectors are available in number of shells sizes and a variety of materials with up to 36 contact configurations as standard, with either single mode or multi-mode. Further information can be found in our Optical Hybrid Dry-Mate products brochure.
Micro MINI-CON
SEACON has incorporated its fiber optic technology into the Micro MINI-CON connector range. The MMG is a single fiber optic contact connector with an overall diameter of ½ inch (.50 inch) with a length of 3 ¾ inch (3.75 inches) including the boot. Modular design allows configuration changes to be made easily. The MMG is manufactured from Titanium 6AL-4v with Copper Alloy engaging nuts, although optional materials are available including 6061-T6 Aluminum and 316 Stainless Steel. Pressure rated to 13,500 psi (Titanium option) and 3,000 psi (Aluminum option), all versions share a dual o’ring seal at the connector interface and the optical contact in the CCP is sealed with o-rings both internally and externally. Several terminations are available including strength terminations and different cable sizes can be accommodated. The specified optical loss for these connector sets is <0.5dB.
