The YOUNG 85106 Marine Ultrasonic Anemometer is a 2-axis, no-moving-parts wind sensor with special features for use in the marine environment. The YOUNG 85106 Marine Ultrasonic Anemometer is a 2-axis, no-moving-parts wind sensor with special features for use in the marine environment. The sensor features durable, corrosion-resistant construction with opposing pairs of ultrasonic transducers secured in a reinforced, moulded frame. Accessory bird spikes discourage perching on the anemometer frame. The 85106 is fully wind-tunnel tested and calibrated to provide accurate wind measurement over a wide operating range. As supplied, the sensor is set up to deliver NMEA serial output, compatible with many marine devices. Additional serial outputs as well as voltage outputs are also available including ASCII text, RMYT and SDI-12.
