The rudder bearings are built by using aluminium 3571 with black hardkote anodization. The sliding is on two lines of torlon balls and one line of peek rollers. This kind of rudder bearing is available in the version for deck 800P with locking flange and in the version for the hull 801S.
The locking system is by a flange with holes to fix on the deck through bolts or screws on counter flange (to order separately). Usually they are mounted in a preset slot because there is no cap or watertight system. Lower bearings havent got a flange and they have to be glued (from outside) in a rudder tube long enough above the DWL.
The bearings are provide of bolts to fix them to the rudder shaft. An adhesive film will isolate the bearing from the rudder shaft

The rudder bearings are made of A304 stainless steel. The sliding is on two lines of stainless steel balls and one or more line of stainless steel rollers. This kind of rudder bearings is available in the version for deck 900P and in the version for the hull, 900S, 900X series, both with locking flange (under deck counter flange supplied on request)
The outside shape of the lower bearing is cylindrical with locking flange to fix through bolts on grp housing ( item 900B supplied on request) to be laminated on the hull.
In this way the dismantling of the bearing for maintenance or replacement is very easy and quick without delamination of the hull.
