It also has the enviable position of being the most accurate altimeter available today on the market. The Echo comes supplied in a choice of two frequencies, 200kHz and 500kHz, thus allowing the Echo Altimeter to be operated within ranges of O-lOOm and 0-50m respectively. With electronics supplied for both frequencies being identical, a quick transducer change will switch from one frequency to the other, even in the field. Accuracy of the system is second to none as it has a 10 degree beam at 200kHz, a 6 degree beam at 500kHz and full 32 bit range resolution, so is capable of measurements to 0.1875mm Communications are available in RS232/RS485, fully compatible with Sonavision's sonar, bathy and profiler software packages and links directly into Sonavision's Hermes MM-A Multiplexor. The Echo Altimeter has a range of user configurable data stream formats to allow data output. An analogue output is also available with the industry standard output system.
