The Bi-TEC® alloy is a patented zinc-based anodic alloy (Patent N# 2023/000024) which differs from the classic US MIL Spec A18001 K zinc alloy due to the exclusion of Cadmium. The absence of Cadmium and the introduction of a completely environmental activator, the bismuth, makes the Bi-TEC® alloy anode, due to their shape and electrochemical characteristics, one of the best choices to protect hulls, rudders etc including grounding connection of metal parts installed on composite and carbon fibre vessels. The range of Bi-TEC® alloy anodes has 5 sizes from 2 Kg to 15 Kg. As with all zinc based anodes, Bi-TEC® alloy anodes are recommended for salt water use. A full range of anodes will be available on request.
