Dutch Thrustleader Marine Propulsion(DTLMP) Deck Mounted Azimuth Thrusters are fully self-contained outboard propulsion units. The prime mover can be selected as a diesel engine, electric motor or hydraulic pump/motor combination. Our Deck Mounted Thrusters cover the range from 60 until 1985 kW. The canopies are available with soundproof insulation as an option. For coastal applications extra waterproof canopies can also be customized. They are often used in case there is limited or no machinery room space available or valuable deck space has to be utilized as efficient as possible. A deck mounted azimuth thrusters is easy to install and due to the installation outside on the deck, maintenance can easily be performed. DTLMP, Deck Mounted Azimuth Thrusters are available in various options: -fixed stem section and thus fixed propeller height -retractable stem section (height adjustable) -retractable & tilting stem section (height adjustable and propeller cleaning) All DTLMP, Deck Mounted Azimuth Thrusters are equipped with a 360 degrees steering function supported by ample sized bearings. We can outfit the thruster with different types of propellers. These are single propellers with or without nozzle or contra-rotating propellers. With the Thrustleader Pro Series control system for Azimuths, you operate and control the speed & steering direction of the thruster in a 360° direction. Thrustleader Pro Series control panel system is used for Dynamic Positioning applications too. Using multiple azimuth thrusters the speed & direction control can be managed by just one single joy stick. In this setup all azimuths are synchronized in speed & direction.
