The TOR Mechanical seals are high quality and precision seals and also easy to install and maintain. The TOR sealing system is given by the perfect planar contact between the AISI 316 stainless steel ring and the graphite and proper thrust sleeve. The TOR mechanical seals can be installed directly on the stern tube with the sleeve provided and if necessary also using reductions blocked by clamps. The rubber sleeve, thanks to its special design in a static position, absorbs potential misalignment and vibration and also offsets the propeller thrust.
