Description

Marine bollards are a simple and cost-effective way to fulfil mooring requirements and safely secure vessels alongside jetties, berths, wharves and dolphins in ports and harbours. Trelleborg's marine systems operation provides bollards in a range of design profiles, sizes and mooring line capacities to suit all mooring applications. The shape of Trelleborg bollards has been refined with finite element techniques to optimize the geometry and anchor layout. Even at full working load, Trelleborg bollards remain highly stable and provide a safe and secure mooring operation. With a mooring line capacity range from 10 tonnes to 300 tonnes, tee bollards cover a vast range of mooring line capacity requirements from small recreational jetties to the largest bulk handling terminals. Made from durable ductile cast iron or cast steel, Tee Bollards can withstand use in harsh environments. Horn Bollards, often referred to as Staghorn bollards, are particularly suitable for applications where tidal range variations are large and can handle steep mooring line angles. They are also capable of accepting multiple mooring lines due to their complex profile. Made from durable ductile cast iron or cast steel, Horn Bollards can withstand use in harsh environments. Kidney Bollards are particularly suitable for applications where tidal ranges are small and are suited to warping operations along berths where vessels need to be re-positioned for loading purposes. With a mooring line capacity range from 15 tonnes to 200 tonnes, Kidney Bollards cover a large range of mooring line capacity requirements from small harbors to the large bulk handling terminals.
