In keeping with the recent upturn in interest in the Explorer Yacht market, Turquoise invited H2 design to interpret this brief on their 74m platform. This unique design style represents a departure from most yachts but reflects a shift in owners’ needs and desire to go further afield to seek new cruising territory and new experiences.
Our explorer design is rugged enough for Alaska, yet chic enough for Monaco. With her aggressive hard-edged exterior styling, and plumb bow, Barracuda’s look hints more at military vessels rather than other explorers do.
Large rectangular windows fill the interior with light and allow for uninterrupted views to the landscape beyond.
Whilst the exterior suggests a more utilitarian aesthetic, the interior retains all the typical features and layout of a 75m superyacht. The arrangement offers accommodation for 14 guests with an impressive forward-facing owners suite boasting uninterrupted views out over the foredeck. With the galley located on the lower deck, the main deck is clear to house the bulk of guest accommodations including 4 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. The Owner’s suite and VIP cabin are situated on the deck above. A generous beach club aft offers both waterside entertaining as well the typical spa facilities. An impressive circular staircase and atrium with glass floor sections connects all decks and provides access to a dedicated cinema.
The main deck saloon offering both formal dining and lounge space leads out to an aft deck with a large pool. Forward a generous garage provides space for a 10m limo tender and 3 jet skis as well as the rescue boat.
