Description

The IMO regulations and the effectiveness of Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) legislation on January 1, 2013, had inspired us to develop the next step of innovation in our successful line of sensors: the TT-Sense® Shaft Power Thrust Meter. Additional to measuring torque with our solid T-Sense, the TT-Sense is our premium sensor equipped for measuring torque and thrust. WE PRESENT: TT-SENSE® By employing the TT-Sense® for measuring thrust and torque, you gain comprehensive insights into propeller efficiency, vessel trim optimization, and hull resistance. Managing propeller thrust and hull resistance at full scale enable savings up to 20%, and in some cases, even more. The TT-Sense® is using various techniques to contribute to ship power management. The actual thrust measurement is obtained through an extremely accurate optical sensor technology. As a result of this non-contact sensor technology, the TT-Sense® thrust and torque measuring system is maintenance free. TT-SENSE® OFFERS SEVERAL BENEFITS TO ASSIST IN REDUCING FUEL COSTS: Very high accuracy and repeatability Propeller thrust and hull analysis possible Pitch optimization Cavitation detection Compliance with SEEMP regulation No time consuming mounting of strain gauges User friendly interface PROPELLER EFFICIENCY BY THRUST AND TORQUE MEASUREMENT Thrust measurement offers precise insight into propeller efficiency relative to energy consumption. Operational changes affecting actual thrust, speed, torque, and power are immediately visible on a dedicated (touch) screen.
