Casual entertainment for friends and family is the theme of a yacht that is built to a high degree of sophistication throughout. She features a large garage for a custom aluminium 4m tender, a hydraulic swim platform and a top speed of some 28 knots powered by twin 2600 hp engines. Designer Guido de Groot’s sleek profile matches the high-end quality of this impressive project.
With ceiling heights of up to 2.50 metres, the sense of space offers a serene backdrop to a fusion of Northern European and Asian styles. The owners pushed the window of the possible on a yacht this size with amazing lighting to match. Highlights include liquid metal and copper walls and the exclusive use of small wooden teak slats for the walls and ceilings. The rare Lapis Blue marble in the master stateroom is magnificent as is the Nero Marquina and Fior di Bosco in the dining area and the wonderful White Carrara in the saloon entrance.
Built for entertainment in every sense of the word, Blue Jeans has a surprisingly sleek exterior profile for a yacht with extra high ceilings in the main deck and a raised bow. The latter reflects the concealment of the anchors within the forepeak to generate space on the foredeck for an additional chill-out zone. A pop-up table will be receded flush into the deck here and, when raised, people can sit with their legs inside the vacated space.
