The bistable battery switch supervises the voltage of the battery to which it is connected.
Threshold values
11.5V and 23V (respectively 12V and 24V versions) = the standard values used for cranking batteries
10.5V and 21V (respectively 12V and 24V versions) = the standard values used for deep cycle batteries
The opening thresholds can be customized by Diamecans for quantities above 1000
The opening thresholds must be above 10V for the 12V version and above 17V for the 24V version.
The precision of measure is 1%
WARNING
It is very important to make sure that the bistable battery switch can not open when the engine is running because it can disrupt functions: for example brakes or power steering.
To avoid this, it is necessary that the LVM activation wire connects to the battery positive (for example ignition circuit) when the engine runs.
Also, the vehicle's control switch used to activate warning lights (in order to indicate a dangerously parked vehicle) may be wired so as to disable the LVM
The manual override is used as an emergency control in case of breakdown or electrical circuit failure
This is also recommended in marine application by te standard ISO 10133§6 which stipulates that a battery switch can be installed on the + battery and the battery switches controlled by remote must have a reliable manual control.
