SurvivalQuest is the worlds only Det Norske Veritas (DNV) certified lifeboat simulator. The system can deliver single fall, twin fall and freefall launch training and is available in fixed and portable configurations. Each SurvivalQuest is equipped with real lifeboat controls and incorporates validated vessel performance characteristics to maximize the realism of the training experience. To ensure SurvivalQuest integrates seamlessly into lifeboat training programs, VMT’s maritime subject matter experts have developed simulation enhanced courseware to address training objectives defined by STCW, OPITO, CAPP and DNV. SurvivalQuest enables organizations to: - accelerate and extend coxswain competency by delivering launch exercises with greater frequency and variety than is achievable using traditional launch training. - mitigate training and operational risk by allowing coxswains to experience difficult or dangerous launch conditions in a safe, simulated environment. - reduce training costs by decreasing the infrastructure requirements, operation and maitenance costs of live vessel training.
