The double-sided 360 ° Rose card has a diameter of 180mm and a 1 ° division. The map is ’North by North’ printed. The reflection magnetic compass M55 is provided with a graduation on the upper bezel, and a firmly centered on the cover glass receptacle which allows to set up a Peildiopter and to use the compass as a sighting compass for Seitenpeilungen. The M55 has a top and bottom plate made of high quality glass. In this way the compass as a reflection compass can be mounted on the top deck in a compass stand type GRP BII-12 or TKH-10. Using a height-adjustable reflection tube set the compass is then very easy to read at the helm. If lack of space or magnetic reasons not possible the establishment of a control compass, the full-gimbal compass is recommended under the ceiling. In this way the compass heading can be easily read on an adjustable mirror from the position of the helmsman. A magnifying lens (optional) optimizes the reading at greater distances.
