DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION A specification as well as a full set of plans and working drawings is included. Further consultation with the Designer is available on an hourly basis. Plans and construction are to meet survey requirements for river limits, extended river limits and extreme limits or to suite intended usage.
LAMINATE SPECIFICATION The bottom is to be epoxy glass laminate/balsa/epoxy glass laminate. The hull sides are to be epoxy glass laminate/foam/epoxy glass laminate. The hull laminate is post-cured, a complete rigid composite backbone and stiffening structure installed to designer specification. Super structure is to be a combination of ply/foam/ply with heavy glass laminate over.
WATERTIGHT BULKHEADS Three watertight bulkheads are located at the forward and aft ends the lower accommodation, forward and aft end of the engine room. MAIN PROPULSION Main propulsion is provided by a pair of Caterpillar 3175C600BHP marine diesel engines, each turning 5 bladed 28″ propellers.
GENERATORS Power generation is provided by Northern Lights 16 kva generator to provide onboard 240v power .
STEERING Primary control of the vessel will be maintained from the enclosed flybridge where there is afull array of electronics. In addition there is a cockpit steering station with throttle control (internal downstairs station optional).
TANKAGE Tankage consists of 2 x fuel and 2 x freshwater tanks each fabricated from 5083 5.00mm marine grade aluminium in accordance with survey requirements. Tanks are to be fitted with sightglasses with automatic shutoffs.
