With the X-412, X-442 and similar models selling in high numbers, the development department found time to maintain the X-Yachts’ reputation in the world of racing. The IMX 40 was introduced as an IMS winner, sporting a carbon mast, boom and wheel as standard and introducing the ‘magic wheel’ backstay adjuster.
