A new partnership between the innovative startup Northern Light Composites and Enrico Zaffalon , owner of the dinghy 12 ' Bonaldo brand , to give life to the ecoDinghy12 project : the recyclable version of the historic dinghy. ecoDinghy12 will be built with rComposite technology which involves the use of linen and basalt fibers, Atlas by NMG Europe recycled core and thermoplastic resin. nlcomp is an innovative startup that deals with the research and development of innovative composites to solve problems relating to the end of life of fiberglass products. In recent years, the Monfalcone-based company has built the prototypes of the ecoprimus and ecoOptimist dinghies and of the sportboat ecoracer, awarded at the Genoa Boat Show and finalist of the World Sailing Sustainability Award. Enrico Zaffalon entrepreneur who was also a sports manager (president of the XII Zone for FIV) has been the owner of the dinghy 12 'Bonaldo brand since 2015. The Bonaldo brand was born in 1977 when Danilo Bonaldo, owner of the shipyard of the same name, created the first 12 'dinghy in fiberglass for racing in history . The first prototype of ecodinghy12 'will be at sea in spring 2022 and will be immediately compared with traditional 12' dinghies in the main events.
