Infrastructure

The facilities of the Peniche Shipyards occupy a total area of more than 80,000m2, with 12,000 m2 of covered area.

Production Facilities: Steel; Metalwork and Mechanics; Maneuvers and Painting; Warehouses and Composites Warehouse (Controlled Environment Area)

350 m quay for swim repairs, with a surrounding area of 12,000 m2, allowing construction and repairs of ships up to 150 m by swimming. The maximum draft is 5 m below Hydrographic Zero, plus 3 m at High Tide, on average.

ENP is equipped with a powerful Hydro-Lift for ships up to 60 m in length or 10.50 m in breadth up to 600 tons integrated into the shipyard's handling logistics.

Ships are moved on rail carriages directly from the production site to the launching position and vice versa without applying any stress to the ship's hull. The shipyard has a transfer platform on rails that allows all the necessary movement in the area of operations.

The area of operations is optimized for about 20 ships.

It also has an inclined plane with useful dimensions of approximately 140x20 m.

These facilities allow both the construction and repair of vessels in steel, aluminum and composite materials.
