Windelo

Windelo Catamaran, based in Canet-en-Roussillon, France, since 2019, is a recently established boatyard building comfortable, innovative, high-performance ecological catamarans. After many years of research on eco-friendly materials with the Ecole Nationale des Mines d'Alès and guided by strong family values, Olivier Kauffmann and his son Gautier Kauffmann, who are both passionate about sailing, founded Windelo to build comfortable, environmentally-friendly recreational crafts.

Windelo combines performance and eco-responsibility together with a considerable amount of living space. In fact, we believe that space affords true comfort. By seamlessly connecting the exterior and interior cockpit, we create a modular living space whose proportions are unrivaled in the world of high-performance catamarans.

The Windelo 50 and the Windelo 54 are the first two boats of the shipyard. In 2023, two new boats will be presented: the Windelo 47 and the Windelo 57. Each catamaran comes in three different versions: Adventure, Yachting, and Sport.

The Adventure version is for setting sail on adventures and exploring. Her hull protection has been upgraded. The materials we use are robust and offer easy maintenance. This version comes with lifting daggerboards and high-performance fixed fin keels.

The Yachting version is the deluxe version, with top-quality materials and equipment. On this boat, we have focused mainly on comfort and on fittings. Her standard equipment and the options available are all provided to make sailing easy and comfortable.

The Sport version is a high-performance boat. The materials used are carefully chosen to limit their weight. The accommodation and equipment options also help to keep the boat light and to optimize its performance under sail.

In addition to these 3 versions, Windelo offers a large range of customization.

Windelo sailors crave adventure and discoveries. We’d like to add nautical miles between two islands or two continents, without giving up the comfort of life on board. We’re taking up the challenge of comfortable performance: light and spacious boats, pleasant to sail.

We, the Windelo sailors, act for pleasurable sailing which is respectful of people and the environment. We embark on innovative boats, built mainly of recycled and biobased materials.

Because we are all different and none of our adventures are alike, we choose unique boats for an extraordinary life experience.
